Trump and Israel

US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu unveiled a peace plan today. We have seen this many times. Presidents and others propose peace. People wave flags. We all hope. Right? But do the people who oppose Israel want a deal? Do they want a little more land? It seems what they want is for Israel to not be there.

I believe only God can bring peace because it will require a change of heart, a complete and lasting transformation of all the souls looking at this and thinking one thing to suddenly think and believe and uphold something else entirely.

In 2018, Trump did something no other President could (would) do and that is to move the American embassy to Jerusalem. I found it encouraging and unexpected. I suppose I had grown accustomed to things being impossible. It gave me hope. Maybe this is also not impossible.

What do you think?

  2. I alo believe only God can bring peace.
President Trump showed indeed much courage and boldness by moving American embassy to Jerusalem.
If God wants, everything is possible.

  3. I'm thankful for what President Trump is doing. I stand by him and I stand with Israel. I'm not sure there will be peace though. I agree that they just want Israel gone.

  8. I do not get mixed up in politics as a unit, but I can change my heart condition to be a god in myself and live according to what Jesus taught and share with other people about the role in our Lord Jesus' life.

    1. Thank you, Agnes. I am not sure I understand what you meant. Do you mean we can only control what is in our own hearts, our own attitude? I think so too. God bless you!

  9. Hi Sandi,
I believe God uses 'fire to fight fire' and I believe He is using Donald Trump to do things which others would not do. When I think of the Spiritual thing that is going on Isaac and Ishmael come into my mind - children of two different mothers - one Egyptian and one Jewish (one of the world and one of the Spirit)

  11. God is going to take care of Israel, I don't think He'll let them be destroyed and dispersed again. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps. 122:6.

  13. We know that God is in control, and we pray for Israel every day. Thankful for our President at least trying hard to do what is right on their behalf. God is using him for the good of Israel. In God's time, things will happen that will complete the prophecies in His Word concerning them. We just have to trust God and be patient and wait.

  16. I admire Trump, he's a business man first, politician second, he has created a starting point for negotiation, a new neutral ground to work from. I have high expectations for a solution in the Middle East and think God will use him well in this.

  17. I have to speak up for the suffering of the Palestinian people. There is wrong and suffering on both sides. This peace plan did not include the Palestinian people. I pray for peace and justice for both sides, but I think it will be a long time coming.

  18. Sandi,

I think Trump is leading our country in the right direction. Something that hasn't happened for a long time. But, will there be peace on this earth? I don't believe we'll have a true peace because humankind is imperfect. We will not know everlasting peace until we reach the shores of Heaven. That being said, I am more hopeful for tomorrow.

  21. "Nie potrzeba wam, bracia, pisa膰 o czasach i chwilach. Wszyscy wy bowiem jeste艣cie synami 艣wiat艂o艣ci i synami dnia. Nie jeste艣my synami nocy ani ciemno艣ci. Nie 艣pijmy przeto jak inni, ale czuwajmy i b膮d藕my trze藕wi! Ci, kt贸rzy 艣pi膮, w nocy 艣pi膮, a kt贸rzy si臋 upijaj膮, w nocy s膮 pijani. 8 My za艣, kt贸rzy do dnia nale偶ymy, b膮d藕my trze藕wi, odziani w pancerz wiary i mi艂o艣ci oraz he艂m nadziei zbawienia. Poniewa偶 nie przeznaczy艂 nas B贸g, aby艣my zas艂u偶yli na gniew, ale na osi膮gni臋cie zbawienia przez Pana naszego Jezusa Chrystusa, kt贸ry za nas umar艂, aby艣my, czy 偶ywi, czy umarli, razem z Nim 偶yli. Dlatego zach臋cajcie si臋 wzajemnie i budujcie jedni drugich, jak to zreszt膮 czynicie"
    1 list Tes. 5. 1-11.
Tak w艂a艣nie si臋 stanie i my艣l臋, 偶e ju偶 wkr贸tce. 艢wiat jest ju偶 bardzo zepsuty, a B贸g zapewni艂 nas o swoim przyj艣ciu. I przyjdzie ...
    Pozdrawiam:)

    1. English blog readers, this says:

"You don't need brothers and sisters to write about times and moments. For you know for sure that the Lord's day will come like a thief at night1. For when they say: "Peace and security" - suddenly destruction will come upon them as well as pain on a pregnant woman and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in the dark so that the day will surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not sons of the night or darkness. Let us not sleep like others, but let us be awake and sober! Those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 And we who belong to the day, let us be sober, clad in the armor of faith and love, and the helmet of hope for salvation. Because God did not destine us to deserve anger, but to achieve salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that we may live with him or live with him. Therefore, encourage each other and build one another, as you do. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

This is what will happen and I think soon. The world is already very broken, and God has assured us of His coming. And he will come ...
      Regards:)"

      Dzi臋kuj臋 Ci, Maria!
