...in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.
Romans 4:17
This verse is about Abraham and God calling him the father of many nations when he did not yet have any children. We have a famous song that goes, "Father Abraham had many sons, many sons had Father Abraham." There was a time in his life when Abraham would not have recognized himself in that song.
What would you be surprised to hear in a song about you?
Definitely would be surprised to hear a song about me!
ReplyDeleteInspiring ;)
ReplyDeleteOur God is a God of surprises, isn't He?
That's a good question, Sandi, and one I need to ponder. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting question. Not sure I'd like a song to be written about me. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL-- My song would probably be called Naughty Nana-Naughty Nana taught me how to sing the little ditty- Momma had a baby and its head popped off (while flipping the head off a dandelion). lol
ReplyDeleteI might have taught that to a 6 year old grandboy who proceeded to pop off EVERY PART of "the baby"..as he popped the heads off dandelions. Let's hope he doesn't do that during recess at school today. lol xoDiana
I remember that song! Where on Earth did that come from? I mean, who would make that up... 😱
DeleteThere'll be a song about me, only if I myself write it I might surprise myself. Don't know. Thanks for the idea.
ReplyDeleteThat used to be one of my favorite songs! I haven't thought about it in years. Thank you for reminding me of it. Hmm... a song about me... I would be surprised if a there was song about me that said I could still fit into the jeans I wore just two years ago! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't want a song written about me.
ReplyDeleteA interesting question! I hope it would only be good things.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, "What would you be surprised to hear in a song about you?" A great question. But I don't have a quick answer. Will have to give it some thought.
ReplyDelete"Every little breeze seems to whisper 'Louise!'" No one will ever write a song about this Louise ~ LOL

DeleteLong response to your question, Sandi:
ReplyDeleteFirst, it's a coincidence that both your post and my blog post talk about meaningful songs today. Thank you for your comment there. I have responded fully on my blog.
Secondly, a song for me. It is a serious and meaningful one which pulls at one's heart strings. How about this one. I guess you never heard it before, or your readers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nebe1zuEtbc
