Description of a Palace


I love normal words that paint a vivid picture, a simple set of thoughts, plain, humble, but...well, look:

"It's not a grand house. It's just an everyday house, but everything that's happening in it is good and so that means it's a palace."

Isn't that fulfilling?

    Sandi, I love words too. Sometimes just a simple phrase can say volumns. Thanks for your visit. I wasn't sure which one with the blue border you were talking about, but thought it might be the last pic?? If so, that is a candle holder from Joanne's. Pretty, and inexpensive. Happy Sunday..Judy

    People tend to say: my home is my palace, or my home is my fortress. Yes, home is what the owner feels and says it is for him. And that saying is quite enough to give an accurate description of his home; no other words are neccessary.

    Me too, but I enjoy looking up word origins...also I find that old books, like Pinocchio, are written so much better and vividly than most things written today, sadly.

    we often go camping ... when we come home we wonder why the need for so much space? u need so little. humor, food, some clothes ... but nothing big. ( ;

    It is not house

    it is people that give meaning to their place

    i saw dark barren palaces

    and

    simple ,sweet full of life houses that seemed FAR MARVELOUS THAN ANY PALACE
