Unfortunately, in my country in January dandelions do not bloom, only in May I can admire their yellow flowers and collect as a herb. This year's winter is kind to people because there is no frost or snow. For plants it can be dangerous because they start to wake up from winter sleep and yet frosts can come and destroy the plants. Blessed week. Lucja
Indeed I do, dandelions are in full bloom here too, I love to pick a bloom and just blow away. Of course I am only spreading more seeds. Blessings, Sue
Wow! Where do you live, anyway? I love dandelions, and call them wildflowers, NOT weeds! They are so cheerful and yellow to see popping up in the spring. No flowers at all here, I miss them!
I am lucky, living in ca I always have things out of bloom blooming, I love daily walks to enjoy the unexpected. Judging by your blog title you may be the dandelion whispered 😉
I am laughing at your "frog germ" comment because I was thinking the same thing. The sentiment is so nice, but I always wonder how those frogs got in that deep cream bowl haha.
Due to our warm climate, even in winter we have things blooming and growing. It's quite a feast to the eyes. The January dandelions in your pictures look lovely, Sandi!
Did you know Sandi, that although many people look at it as a 'weed' the dandelion is a medicine cabinet in itself. Every part of the dandelion has healing qualities. Reminds me of how much of the world do not recognise the healing qualities of our Lord and Saviour. God bless.
Geranium has been in blossom on my balcony since last summer... But no dandelions here at the moment... ;) But there will be lots of them on the lawns in April and May.
I love seeing dandelions, but haven't seen any yet this year!! In blossom, here, something exciting, the first plum blossom!! Enjoy the season and the blossoms!!
I took delight in seeing a circle of them out in our backyard. Silly me, I didn't realise just how much they close up at night, one early morning I could hardly see them but then out comes the sun and they open fully. Lovely pics Sandi xx

ReplyDeleteI would welcome a pretty little dandelion at the moment. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR it's cold outside :)
ReplyDeleteWith the climate here it is not unusual to see plants blooming out of season. Hope you're having a good day.
ReplyDeleteWe are having seasonably warmer temps but no dandelions yet.

DeleteI wish I could see a dandelion blooming here. Unfortunately, we just have ice!
ReplyDeleteI don't have dandelions but I sure have a lot of weed sprouts covering the ground. All in all, I think I'd prefer dandelions.
ReplyDeleteLet me see if I finally fixed my comment issue. Love that speck of yellow.
ReplyDeleteHere you are!
DeleteIt's been too wet to check!

ReplyDeleteCan't say I see anything blooming here right now as we are under 14 inches of snow. I'm sure dandelions will be out in full bloom sooner than later.
