Motives

Do you wonder sometimes why we are told what we are told?
Just 37 seconds in, Gul Dukat, while hearing a crazy story, finally asks something we should all ask from time to time,

"This is a very entertaining story, but why am I listening to it?"

This is exactly how I felt at work when some idiot would bring me a new theory on what we should do or not do to improve matters. Usually, it was total nonsense that served no purpose to man or beast.

    God bless.

  7. Dear Sandi, the questions, too, are "Whom do I choose to listen to?" "Who is wise, not must smart?" "Who is good person, not just a good speaker?" and "What am I listening for?" The truth or confirmation of my own bias? Peace.

    1. All important questions. It seems some are asking them, some are not.

  8. Yes, why even listen? People(politicians, the media, entertainers, many "religious leaders") have become masters of deception. So important to pray for wisdom and discernment when exposed to those with an evil agenda.
