Hi Sandi, I say 'Amen' to that beautiful prayer. I love the Russian language, and took a class learning it, but it has gone out of my mind now as it was so long ago.
Beautiful, Sandi! So soothing and reverent. It reminds me of an evening service I saw in San Miniato across the Arno River from Florence. The Olivetan monks sang Gregorian chants for Vespers, and I've experienced nothing like it. I wish I could have recorded the service, but the monks requested visitors not to. Have a happy week, my friend!
Thank you, Sandi! For a lovely coincidence, my brother was yesterday evening watching a documentary about Lake Ladoga. There was a piece of music like this and we were impressed by its beauty. Blessings!
This was beautiful. And oh my, the height of the church ceiling! I'm glad they showed the words as well. Wonder if these are Russian Catholic monks?
