Hi Sandi I don't know what replacement theology is. I refer to the church as the Israel of God, as spiritually we come out of spiritual Egypt ( which is the world ) and journey to the spiritual promised land (which is eternal life ) when we leave this world. There is lots I could say regarding this, but I have tried to put it in a shortened form.
It's hurts my heart. I am trying to find a one sentence definition of it. I think I shouldn't try. But, anyway, you are not saying that, so sorry I bought it up!
Just came back to this post to see if you had responded. Please don't worry Sandi, I might look up that replacement theory one day, but judging by what you have said, it is definitely not scriptural.
I tried to read about replacement theology, and it made my eyes spin, Sandi. Rocks are so much easier to understand ~ LOL! My muddy impression was that the Church superseded Israel as the recipient of the New Covenant and Old Testament promises because Israel had disobeyed. Replacement theology has led to anti-Semitism since at least the Middle Ages, sometimes horribly like during the Holocaust. Have a good one!
i worship what i know now and this is salvation indeed :) we know that there is God around and within and all the ways of worship lead us towards Him ! blessings!
We worshiop the God who saved us.
ReplyDeleteI like the art.
ReplyDeleteHe knows me. I know Him a bit.
ReplyDeleteWe must have that True North so to speak. Our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Such an amazing encounter for this woman at the well!
ReplyDeleteYES!
DeleteYes, salvation is only from one religion, and thank God that we who are being taught by the Word of God are God's spiritual Israel.
ReplyDeleteI read your comment several times with a question rolling around in my head. You are not talking about replacement theology, are you?
