Please let me know. I think I remember he talked about Moses, but my memory is not very good these day, so the details escape me. But he's definitely my most favorite prophet, the one I read the most.
I'm not sure either. I think it sounds like people redeemed by the Lord who are not in the family of Abraham or Israel. But I am looking for the answer too. I'm sure there is some expert online and probably it's answered somewhere. I should look.
My hubby and I were just looking this up in a few commentaries. Romans 9:6 says "Not all Israel is Israel". The commentary felt the it meant that the children of Abraham and Jacob (Israel) were not all children of God, but for the chosen remnant, even if those others did not acknowledge them, the Lord was their Father and was their Redeemer. Does that make sense?
You may be able to figure out the answer by reading the link to the commentaries on this passage. https://biblehub.com/commentaries/isaiah/63-16.htm I won't try to answer the question because it would take too long, and I am not sure what I say would be correct. But these commentaries should be able to help!

ReplyDeleteHi Sandi,
ReplyDeleteto me it is the born again believer, as that Word is a living word, and we are told the scriptures are discerned spiritually. God bless.
That's a good reply. It's true, anyway.
