Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
That paintin is gorgeous and I find myself wanting to do one like it! Wonderful color and movement of the water. And, a lovely verse.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanie. I found it on Creative Commons.
DeleteWonderful and comforting verse!
ReplyDeleteI like this kind offer to the hard laborers (who were almost slaves in biblical times) : 'take and use my yoke which is easier than yours , and my burden is light'.
ReplyDeleteIt's for you and me too.
DeleteAmen
ReplyDeleteA pretty image.
ReplyDeleteA great Bible verse and one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteWonderful words of comfort.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandi! This call of Christ is layered with meaning. Like so much that He says, it keeps speaking to our minds and hearts.
ReplyDeleteHe is the only source of true rest...
ReplyDeleteI love this verse Sandi, it speaks to both believers and those who have not known the Lord as their Saviour yet and are struggling in this broken world. God bless.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy! I finally am able to comment again…not sure how or why, but I take it as a sign that the Lord wants me to blog about thoughts about Him again ❤️We live in interesting times for sure. The more evil there is the greater His goodness and mercy shine through ☺️
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite verses, Sandi. I find comfort in it when I am tired or weary or just overwhelmed.
ReplyDeleteI hope these November days bring goodness to you.

Thank you Sandi
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, thank you for the comment on my blog. I know about the warning. I have a feeling I know why Google did that. It has to do with cities in the Old Testament that were destroyed and that our generation is in similar danger, if you know what I mean…😟
ReplyDeleteI chose the same verse today...Love.
ReplyDeletelovely art and verse !
ReplyDeleteYes, important and necessary. Lovely photo too, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThis verse not only comforts me when I think of being yoked to Jesus, but I pray it often for my daughter who works as a nurse in Behavior Health. The stress gets to her, you know.
