Rest

 


Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 

Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, 

for I am gentle and lowly in heart, 

and you will find rest for your souls. 

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

    I like this kind offer to the hard laborers (who were almost slaves in biblical times) : 'take and use my yoke which is easier than yours , and my burden is light'.

    Hi Sandi, thank you for the comment on my blog. I know about the warning. I have a feeling I know why Google did that. It has to do with cities in the Old Testament that were destroyed and that our generation is in similar danger, if you know what I mean…😟

    This verse not only comforts me when I think of being yoked to Jesus, but I pray it often for my daughter who works as a nurse in Behavior Health. The stress gets to her, you know.
