Blessing



The Lord bless you and keep you; 
the Lord make his face to shine upon you 
and be gracious to you; 
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you 
and give you peace.

    My favorite benediction. We used to say this in our youth group every time we'd meet, at the end...we'd join hands in a circle and say this and then we'd go home. Precious memories to me from my youth!! That is where I truly learned to love and trust and yearn for the Lord in my life.

    Interesting verse!
    It's not in the third person ( it says: the Lord 'bless' you, not blesses you; 'keep' not keeps... 'give peace' not gives peace). That is, it's as if intended to each one of us, a blessing for everyone of us to say.
