I will not take your guilt
with me when I leave this place.
I will not carry it
in my heart
or
on my back
or
on my face.
I forgive.
I will forgive.
I am forgiving.
I will say it
a thousand times
and then once more.
I will lay it down.
I will let it go.
It is not mine.
I will not take it with me.
And you...
Will you leave mine here as well?
A very good word Sandi, even seeing the word Forgiveness, it makes a softer place in our hearts. A word that we could all say more often!! I like the typeface you used, it gives it an urgency. Jesus says to forgive not 7 but 77 times, and the more we forgive the better!! Blessings and Love to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sandi, for a really beautiful and thought-provoking post! Hugs and blessings. :)
ReplyDeleteForgiveness, yes, if one asks for it, otherwise I don't see the point in forgiving someone who has probably done me wrong and gets away with it. His guilt is his problem, not mine.
ReplyDeleteLord, help me to forgive...
ReplyDeleteForgiveness....that is a hard one. Not sure I always forgive but I do let things go. Thanks for stopping over at the blog and leaving your sweet comment.
ReplyDeleteIt is a hard one for me.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, and thought provoking!! You are so talented! This should be published.
ReplyDeleteI find forgiveness easy when I realize it is not a war with flesh and blood that I am encountering, but it is Spiritual warfare. If I don't forgive others then God won't forgive me. However scripture also says there is a time to hate, which I still believe is the spirit within the whosoever and not the person.
ReplyDeleteSandi this is a beautiful piece of writing. Forgiveness always in the end sets us free. Thank you for reminding me. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm am old softy and find it pretty easy to forgive.
