Hello Sandi. Who did the beautiful painting. My husband has done artwork to accompany some of my poems on my blog in the past. Also, the words are life giving, like the water and to be cherished.
Thanks, grams. I found it on Creative Commons quite a long time ago. Unfortunately, I do not recall the artist's name. I just went back there to search again, but could not find it.
I didn't realize I didn't write where it was from! It's a bible verse about the woman at the well. Jesus went through that town, a Samaritan town that the Jews avoided, because of her. She was a rejected woman, at the well at the hottest part of the day because she was an outcast. Jesus knew that and sat with her. She became the first evangelist to the Samaritan people. We don't know her name, only her story. It is in John 4:7:42.
We are told to wash ourselves in the lavar everyday. I find it interesting that the laver was made from the bronze mirrors of the Israelite women. I also find it interesting that Y'shua is referred to as the Word of God. It is by that same washing or partaking of the Word of God brings eternal life. Isn't amazing how God is consistent throughout his Word?
Indeed. I LOVE this painting!!
