Do you feel that?
The low tremor in the air.
Or a shaking in the sky.
Or something, Something.
We are on the edge of a Thing in our world.
What a loss for words I have, using the dreaded thing-Thing
of which my first college English professor warned.
Yesterday I attended the funeral of a man younger than myself.
None of us can brag about tomorrow. Will we be here or There?
I know Him, the Creator of it all. I know Jesus. He rescued me. There is a difference between someone who knows the Savior and one who does not. Can you sense the Presence in a life sitting next to you at a bus stop or in a church?
Some accept Him. Others do not.
When it is time to go, to Whom will you go?
"...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." Romans 3:23-26
I am so sorry when young people pass away.
ReplyDeleteThank you, ирина. It was quite a shock. My sons are friends with his sons, same age.
DeleteYes, I feel it coming too.
ReplyDeleteA lot of us do.
DeleteI will be attending a memorial service for a man much younger than myself. There is comfort in knowing He knows the Savior and is now with our Savior. Everyone will die and there are only two destinations; with Jesus in heaven or without God in hell.
ReplyDeleteYes. Amen.
DeleteThank God I am going to HEAVEN.
ReplyDeleteAmen
DeleteYes, that Time is coming... I feel it now as never before. Glad I know where I am going.
ReplyDeleteSue
It's true. Something is coming.
DeleteI am sorry for the loss of your friend, but knowing He is with Christ is very comforting. Yes, we need to be ready. Christ is coming soon to take us all home, those who believe in Him. For those who don't...it will be a very sad and terrible day for certain. May we all be ready, for we do not know what day it will be, but Christ is coming soon. Yes, I can feel it. I am ready.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteThanks, Pamela. You always know just what to say.
You are right. To me, the world just keeps getting more and more evil. It would surely win if not for Jesus! He is the one light and hope.
ReplyDeleteYes. The only one.
DeleteWe all need to know that life is eternal, but it depends on where we want our address to be. Repenting of our sin and giving our hearts to Jesus is our adoption papers into His family. I choose to dwell with Him through all eternity. Someday we'll meet because we have the same heavenly Father. God bless you and have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteI wait patiently.
ReplyDeleteI suppose that is the right way to wait.
DeleteSandi: So sorry for your loss, but a Blessing for the man entering the gates of Heaven. As Catholic I make sure to go to Confession and Mass every Sunday, I want to be prepared. I too await for the second coming, it will be a day of reckoning.
ReplyDeleteHave an amazing day.
Catherine
We definitely live in anxious times. When it is my time to go I hope to feed a tree which will give shelter to birds and animals. I have no expectation (or wish) for eternal life.
ReplyDeleteI heard a man's near death experience years ago. He said there are flowers and animals in Heaven. Please join us.
DeleteI feel the same Sandi. Exciting times that we live in! God's goodness extended to us in the midst of horrible times!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteI feel it too; Satan is roaming freely and few seem to notice. I am ready.
ReplyDeleteWe live in interesting times.
DeleteI too feel it. A friend of mine just died too and I know she is at home now with Jesus.
ReplyDeleteImagine what that is like!
DeleteI feel it too Sandi...and I pray for those who haven't yet accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteSobering thoughts. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you too, Victor.
DeleteIt is a sad thing when one loses their life at such a young age. But yes, so thankful I know Jesus!
ReplyDeleteYes. He was 52.
Delete...years ago I was talking to a friend who was 81 at the time. He felt like his days were numbered. He asked if I would come to his funeral and I said yes, but under one condition. You have to die first. I was there.
ReplyDeleteNice of him to oblige. :)
DeleteI am glad you got to say goodbye. All of our days are numbered.
Yes, there is something about to happen! Those of us who follow Jesus can feel it. We Must pray for those who live their lives not caring about what is going on and could be coming very soon.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
DeleteSo sorry.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Christine.
DeleteI am ready anytime to go to my heavenly home:)
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteHugs.
ReplyDeletewww.rsrue.blogspot.com
Hugs. How are you doing? I just saw a video about Ashville on the night Helene came through by The Bergamot,
DeleteI understand exactly what you are writing here. Yes.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your loss, just so very sorry.
One of our adult daughters and I were talking, she was upset about a Christian ministry insurance type of plan that seems to be going the way of the world, and when I reminded her that the Lord would take care of things and not to be upset she said...'But it's just what is going on in the world that I'm feeling and it's so upsetting...'
Yes, we understand and feel it as well. If we know the Lord how can we not feel it right? My son in law, a pastor was sharing about the rock's crying out as we talked the other day, and he mentioned that the vibrations of the Lord's Spirit is speaking out, it even shows in various areas of the country or our area in different ways, some peaceful and some not.
Thank God I have the Lord in a personal way and the Holy Spirit's guidance. The Father gives comfort, what would we do without Him?
Hope you are having a nice day in the Lord, ~Amelia
It can be so different in one area vs. another. The Lord will lead us. He is a good, good father.
DeleteThanks you for your comment, Amelia. It is good to see you.
Very powerful Sandi, thank you!! Carla
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carla.
DeleteSo sorry for your loss Sandi.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thanks, Jan.
Deleteany kind of loss is tough. lots of prayers. hugs as well. i wonder if loss is easier or whatnot at different ages? not sure. no clue. i mean some folks have or seem to have so much loss within their lives. i know they say that God only gives us what we can handle. but the outsiders looking in ... really? how do they continue to stand. i think folks if they knew what folks went through maybe the would watch their words and comments more. you never know what folks are going through or might go through. they need your compassion and caring ways. be well. take care of yourself. DeleteHi Sandi, yes we are in the end times, where there will be ' wars and rumours of wars', that was a good scripture to share. God bless.
ReplyDeleteBom dia, Sandi
ReplyDeleteQue o Senhor conforte o teu coração. A esperança que temos é que ele está com Cristo. A vida eterna com o Senhor será gloriosa, é bênção viver com Jesus, um forte abraço.
Obrigada, Lucinalva. Deus te abençoe.
DeleteAmen, something is in the air ... this year has been full of the loud drumbeats ... Even so Lord Jesus - EVEN SO!
ReplyDeleteToday is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.
DeleteСоболезную...
ReplyDeleteСпасибо за вашу доброту.
