When I was younger, l always wanted to try ice skating, but I never got around to learning how. I enjoy watching the figure skaters during the Olympics, too. Have a blessed day... :)
Hi Sandi! It's so fun to feel like your flying, isn't it? I feel that way when I am swimming, or even taking a power walk. It feels so effortless. Love that! Ceil
Hi Sandi, so nice to meet you too. I'm so happy you enjoyed visiting with me enough to want to be a follower. I've opted not to put that field on my blog but I do hope you'll come to see me again. Maybe you can add me to your blog roll. I've added you to mine and I look forward to visiting with you againl
I have always admired people who can balance and skate! I did manage to master roller skating a VERY long time ago and haven't tried for YEARS...but I do enjoy watching others!
Sandi: I wanted ice skates one year for Christmas. My mother found a pair of used ones in the classified ads. When I went with a neighbor girl to the pond where everyone went, I couldn't stand up on the skates. My inner ankles were against the ice. I only went a handful of times. I think those on TV and in theOlympics are very graceful. As you can tell, I am not.
Sandie maybe one day i will write about it...I have mentioned it a few times that I have Polio in my right leg. I use a cane and on occasion a walker. I got Polio before i was a year old.
One of my best childhood memories was when our back yard froze into a huge sheet of ice. My mom and my aunts ran out and bought a bunch of used ice skates and we had the most amazing time ice skating in our backyard and sipping on hot chocolate.

ReplyDeleteIf for only a moment I could do one thing I can not do with Polio... it would be to skate...FLY...on the ice.
