"If God be for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31 Praying for our nation, our President, our leaders, our people...pleading with God to "save" our nation from the crazies... Praying II Chronicles 7:14. Have a blessed day...trusting and praying. God is still on His throne, and He will not let go of us.
Yes, He wants to...but we are not always willing to seek His forgiveness and salvation. Our nation has turned its back on God (for the most part...not everyone...but many), and my concern is that we are putting ourselves in danger of great judgment. Pleading = Standing in the gap and praying as Moses did in Exodus 32:7-14. Yes, He wants to save us...but we are "a stiff-necked people", much like Israel of old.
So true! And I believe this has always been true, but we realize it now more than ever. We see how helpless we are without his intervention. I appreciate you reminding me that I need to pray for our nation and world more often, Sandi. Thanks!
Jesus is my hope in these times. And to know that all of this fits into God's plan. I don't presume to know how it does, but God is always in control and so I trust that all that occurs is in His hands. He is faithful! Hugs.
Amen! Let's hope He is able to work a peaceful outcome through his earthly beings. xo Diana

ReplyDelete"pleading"
DeleteThis word struck me for some reason. I think pleading is not the right...attitude. He wants to save us and our enemies too.

ReplyDeleteSometimes the news can be heartbreaking indeed. Greetings to you.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the only way to regain our inner peace is to look away from the news for a while and turn to something more uplifting.

ReplyDeleteReminding to pray for our nations and our leaders. Have a blessed weekend!
ReplyDeleteIf God did not intervene all flesh would be destroyed.
ReplyDeleteThis is God's world, and He is taking care of it. What great comfort this is to us. : )

We've had some discussions lately with other believers who think this may just be God's plan and that the end is beginning to happen as it should.
ReplyDeleteInteresting!
