A quiet whisper on a very loud Internet. Can you hear me?
Every word has its own life, its vibration in the soul of a man.
I enjoy Emily Dickinson's prose. Thanks for sharing Sandi.
I love this poem because it is thoughtful. Some words do linger a long time and cannot be forgotten. So we need to be so careful with them. Did you write it? I bet you did.
Thanks. It is by Emily Dickinson. :)
I've always loved the purity and ease of Emily's poetry. Thanks for sharing, Sandi!
I like that one.
As I understand the art of language, Emily Dickinson is right. A word dies when it falls out of use.
Depends on the word. Sometimes one has to eat one's words ... pizza! God bless.
Oh yes...a word once spoken lives on forever...so be careful what we speak!
This is going in my quote book! Love it! Thanks so much, Sandi.
some words will be remembered for a lifetime. i often hope mine will linger in the thoughts of others!!
So true. And worth thinking about.Words can heal but also can kill...
I happen to agree with the second part of the quote, namely: "I say it just begins to live that day".After it's uttered, a word has a certain impact on things, and life just begins for it.
Something to think about!
Bonsoir,Tellement bien dit !Gros bisous à vous et bon week-end !
Really love this Words are powerful and keep on living yes
Hi Sandi,a word is like a piece of bread, being eaten by those who are hungry.
You're right, Sandi. I think words are powerful, and they spark life the moment they leave our lips. That's why it's important to think before we speak. I need to work on that. : )~Sheri
i found words just like seeds we have to sow them carefully without spilling out them here and there we reap the crop in the field of life step by step
