What Does God Want?

Does God want us to be happy?
Sometimes. Probably.
But really God wants us to be holy.

  1. Yes ... I believe God wants us to be happy ... and holy. He did not create us and all the wonderful things in the world for us to go round looking miserable as if we had a permanent bad smell under the nose.

    God bless.

      That's not what holiness is.

  2. I think it is not possible to be happy all the time. Joyful maybe :) but holy for sure! Food for thought, thank you!

  3. I believe that God wants us to be happy and holy. However, sometimes we confuse happiness with something different, I think. Have a lovely afternoon☺

  4. God's definition of true happiness is certainly a bit different than ours.
It is tempting, though dangerous, to seek happiness apart from Him. This I know from personal experience:) A good reminder, Sandi. Thank you!

  7. Holy/Wholly - i like that God wants us to be Holy. Whole. When we wanted to do it outselves (garden) we lost our Wholiness. Holiness.

  8. Yes, to be holy is God's desire for our lives. May we seek His holiness in our every day devotions and prayers and actions. Oh to be like Thee, blessed Redeemer!!

  9. I think God wants us to be holy and he also wants what is going to be best for us for eternity. So, what we think makes us happy, may not be good for us in the long term.

  11. Hi Sandi, if happiness means being in the Lord then that is the Holy happiness that God wants us to have, the happiness I love. There is no comparison in what I called happiness before I became born again of God's Holy Spirit. I would call that kind of happiness selfishness.

  14. i think our Creator has sent us to find true meaning of life

    why are we here

to go through all the process of life which is mixture of joy and misery

while going through, if we find way out by achieving strength that comes from unshaken faith ,we can reach to destination
where true peace of soul is acquired and where all other worldly temptations are meaningless
now we are living the life that we are meant to live
with pure heart filled with selfless love for humanity and for all that exist

    1. This was beautiful, Baili.

"if we find way out by achieving strength"

I was not able to find a way out. I was rescued.
