Aww...this is such a great promise from the scriptures. I remember when I first came across this verse years ago and thinking, wow! To think that God in His goodness would bring good in all things to those who love Him and who are called according to His purposes. My heart was greatly blessed over finding such a verse. :-)
Have a glorious day tomorrow. Blessings and love, Debbie
Hi Sandi, I love Romans 8:28 ... Thank you for sharing! It is always good to see your comments on my blog. To answer your question: Yes, I think Standard Oil printed that little booklet and gave them away to encourage people to drive all over the West and see their National Parks. That would mean a lot of gasoline sales! :-) Your question piqued my curiosity about the price of gas in 1935 ... Google says 19 cents! :-) Can you imagine it? :-) Have a fine day.
Hi Sandi! I pray that I'll always do what he calls me to do 'for his purpose'. That's what it's all about...it will work out well if I am called to do it. Have a blessed Monday! Ceil
Hi Sandi, Thank you for your reply to my earlier comment. I always appreciate your spiritually encouraging blog. I hope you will take a look at my post today ... it is an old postcard featuring the Chapel at the Grand Tetons National Park. I thought of you when I posted the card and wondered if you had ever been there.

ReplyDelete19 cents! I can not imagine.
DeleteI remember my Mom telling me her Mom used to spend $40 per week on groceries-- to feed a family of 7! That was in the 1950's.
Now nothing costs 19 cents and $40 will get you a couple of small bags of goodies at the grocery story. :) Times change!
Thank you for this beautiful Bible Verse.
