Rays

Is this the end?

In mayhem; in grief, in despair, the world comes crashing down to a disastrous and dead end. Everyone fights everyone for every reason under the sun. Military people with their tanks and their guns and then…nothing. Nation against nation. Destruction.

Is this how it ends?

no

The sky breaks open and familiar light,
we know this light, pours in.

It says.

The light speaks, “Forgive your enemies.”

“These enemies, the ones with the guns to my head,
the ones I have by the throat?”

“Yes,” He says. “Them.”

He is speaking to all of us, them and me and you.

The waves come and take everything away.
Don’t be afraid of the waves. Some things need to fall.
The Earth shakes. It is waking up.
This is not the end. Not now. It is the beginning.

Are you ready?

For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 ESV

  1. This much I know, I will ultimately be in heaven with Jesus some day. I am looking forward to that day. Hopefully, not right away though because there are things I still want to see and experience here. But whatever God chooses is fine with me.

    Have a great day.

  5. I sure hope I am ready. As the bible says, there will always be wars.

  6. None shall know the hour. That hasn't stopped anyone from saying this is the hour since, oh, 36 AD.

  7. I am ready, and watching every day, but also working and preparing my heart and home for Christ's return. We must keep on sharing His love and salvation to everyone who needs to know Him, until He returns.

  8. Sometimes it feels like the end times; but then people have been expecting the end of time for millennia. Beautiful photo and hopeful, shining words, Sandi. Thank you!

  10. I like your eloquent words today, Sandi. I was watching a tv program the other day, and it made me think that we have to watch everything we say these days. A thank you to those who still speak out, especially when truth speaks from their lips. Thank you, Sandi.
