Jeshurun

There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty.
Deuteronomy 33:26

Jeshurun: A poetical name of Israel, probably derived from a root meaning to be upright, and applied to the people of God as the objects of his justifying love, which does not "behold iniquity in Jacob," from ATS Bible Dictionary.

Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
Isaiah 44:2

  2. Love these scriptures, and of God riding across the heavens in His Majesty!! Jeshurun in Hebrew is Yeshurun, and starts with the first two letters as Yisrael (Israel), and Yeshua. Praise the God of Jeshurun! A blessed day to you Sandi!!

    1. Thanks, William. I wasn't either, but then it kind of jumped out at me.

  5. Lovely name Yeshurun! The word is a combo of two words the second one being 'shurun' which means row, line = straight, honest. We had a great poet by the name of Avot Yeshurun.

  6. I did not know about this word! Don't think I have ever heard it. Even my husband didn't know it, and he is a bible scholar. Something nice to learn today!
