Isn't it? I saw one that was from the perspective of the church in the distance. It was even more amazing, but I could not find it for use on Creative Commons. :)
Interesting note: If we are to be transformed and then reign with the Messiah, for a 1000 years, prior to Revelation 21:3-4. Why aren't our tears wiped away until after the Book of Life Accounting? Makes you think. :-)
Nothing earth shaking. However, if most believers are ask about the time after our Messiah returns, most can't describe our existence. As you know, all things have a reason. So, why are tears still prevalent after the Lord's return? It's just speculation, but maybe, as with the Days of Awe, culminating with Yom Kippur, we will ponder life's shortcomings/sin, missed opportunities, for a thousand years. No proof, just speculation. As I said, it makes you think. Your thoughts?
Hi Sandi, These are beautiful Words from scripture, but we must also take note of verse 7 which reads:- ' Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.', and the following verses say even more. So we must endeavour to pray that we are 'victorious' in our walk with the Lord as we grow in Him, and act on that Word spoken to us by the Holy Spirit. 1 Timothy ch. 4 v. 1 says that many shall fall away from the faith in the latter days, and we can not take away from scripture. That is why it is good to build one another up in the faith as we endeavour to live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God, as Jesus said. The enemy can be very cunning, but God is greater.
Amen, Sandi! A place of eternal joy with the Lord.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Amen to that, Martha!

DeletePondering life's shortcomings for a thousand years? That sounds awful. I hope it is not like that.
DeleteIsn't this a wonderful verse! Are these all temples in the Mid East?
ReplyDeleteYes. It's a view of Jerusalem. That's a Russian Orthodox church on the Mount of Olives in the distance and the Dome of the Rock in the foreground.
DeleteThis is a nice thought, Sandi.
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn to you!

The Jerusalem Temple, which was the only temple for Jews.
ReplyDeleteOnly the Wall of Waste was left of it.
Beautiful picture!
