Blessing

The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you
and give you peace.

Numbers 6:24-26

  1. My favorite benediction. We used to say this in our youth group every time we'd meet, at the end...we'd join hands in a circle and say this and then we'd go home. Precious memories to me from my youth!! That is where I truly learned to love and trust and yearn for the Lord in my life.

  6. Interesting verse!
    It's not in the third person ( it says: the Lord 'bless' you, not blesses you; 'keep' not keeps... 'give peace' not gives peace). That is, it's as if intended to each one of us, a blessing for everyone of us to say.
