What am I doing here on this green Earth with the grass between my toes and many years past? Why am I standing here in this meadow looking up? Why do I know you and you me, but not Benjamin Franklin or Attila the Hun, or Madonna? What about my opinions? I have many. I think you must want to hear them. That's a little funny.
I love my sons and my kind husband. I love you. Well, you type well and read here, what's not to love? Why am I hear at this moment in time? Did I do or have I done or will I do all of the things? Are there things? Am I here to do things?
Why are you here? I mean on this post and on this day?

ReplyDeleteI wonder that daily... why am I here now on this earth? It's not to just get by... always learning to love, to cope well with the awful, to notice the good, are basics. I feel connected knowing you are also wondering, thank you, LeeAnna at not afraid of color
Deep, I think one reason is to worship God. But mostly unanswerable for now...
ReplyDeleteWhy am I here? I'm here to see what my blogging friends are up to. Over the years a blogging community of writers, most whom I've never met in person, have become like family to me. I'm a curious person who likes to know what is going on with friends and family, near and far. I'm here, too, just at this time of day because I had a few minutes to click and catch up before we hit the road to the airport to pickup my brother and his son who will be visiting. Time will be scarce to check up on blogs from now until Thursday! :)
ReplyDeleteWe are here to spread God's love and encouragement to our sisters and brothers out there in blogland...and to be blessed by their "presence" here as well. I am thankful that God has given us this "open window" of opportunity to be a light in the darkness...a bright spot in a gray world. We all need help and hope and comfort from time to time, and I have found all of it here in this place...words of wisdom, songs that lead us to worship and praise the Almighty, funny memes that make us laugh and brighten our days...so many things we find here in our little corner of cyberspace...I am thankful for YOU, and so many others who we are blessed to know here in this place.
