Pulled before the kings of the Earth, the humble soul was asked to pray.
"Yes, open this meeting in prayer," they pleaded. Their motives were unclear. Their expectations were hidden. A room full of the powerful, the weary, and the hopeless. What would you pray for presidents and kings? What would your words be for this fallen world? What would you say?
I would say that our leaders find Jesus and have EMPATHY!!
ReplyDeleteThy kingdom come, Thy will be done. I better be more careful with my comments, dear Sandi! But that would definitely be my starting point in prayer.
ReplyDeleteIf I were asked to pray for the kings of the Earth, I would pray for wisdom for them to lead with kindness and a true desire for peace. I would ask for their hearts to be open to understanding the needs of everyone, not just the powerful. For the world, I would pray for healing and for everyone to find hope and compassion in their hearts.
