Sandi, Your picture is so pretty. Love that red tulip. I used to have lots of tulips when I lived in town. I never planted any out here. Too many squirrels. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
my mother used to plant tulips right in front of our house...i remember being a child and fitting my whole hand (sometimes even my face!) in the middle of the flower. so many beautiful memories. gorgeous picture, thanks for sharing <3

About that lonely red tulip. What do you think of this: "As a believer, it is likely that some time during your life you will be challenged to stand alone—to be in a situation that forces you to decide if you will obey God or “follow the crowd.”
Hi Sandi, So nice to stop by Dandelion Tea and see this beautiful red tulip on a cloudy gray day in Seattle. I have to wonder where you are located … that beautiful profile shot looks like the Oregon or California Coast. I especially want to thank you for your novel-length comment on my Winter Skywatch post last week. And you know I’m saying that with a smile. Well, most folks just leave a line or two and I really appreciate the longer comments. Thanks again. Wishing you a fine week ahead! John
I noted that the photo of the red tulip comes from the Internet, but that's OK, as it is quite beautiful and beauty from wherever is to be appreciated. Thanks for visiting Ocala & Central Florida. Much appreciated!
Oh how I love Tulips.... Right now, we are in the dread of winter --with nothing blooming... BUT---by April or May (depending upon the weather) we'll have lots of flowers blooming including our Tulips... I cannot wait!!!! Your photo is gorgeous ...
I love tulips, Sandi, and this picture is absolutely beautiful. All of the yellow ones really make the red one stand out. Hmmm...maybe there is a parallel there about we Christians being the yellow and allowing Jesus (the red tulip) to stand out rather than ourselves? Just a thought.
I have a bouquet of pink tulips in a jar on my kitchen table. Today is Candlemas...and for some the first day to celebrate spring. We have plenty of winter yet here but I find that no reason not to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Gorgeous!!!!

ReplyDeleteThanks, John. The red tulip is from the Internet, sadly! And the profile shot is on Ocracoke Island, the outer banks of North Carolina.
