Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:3-10

DeleteYes, a very beautiful sermon, as it was shown in Zefireli's film - Jesus of Nazareth
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen that movie. I'll have to look it up!
DeleteBlessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. How wonderful. What are you think about this?
ReplyDeleteI have answered on your comment on my blog! Sharing a link to a sermon about: YES! (God's promises) I hope you love it. xxx
A passage that seems to be overlooked by a segment of society these days.

ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
What a powerful message. Jesus' preached the very best Sermons ever...because He was the originator of all truth...He knows the material by heart...and He has written His Word on our hearts that we might not sin...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful reminders for us!
