There are many untruths are out there vying for our attention and promising the answers we seek. But why do we seek? Because our hearts cry out to Our Creator. Ask yourself if what you believe is true. Then ask the Lord God. Is it true?
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. Psalm 91:4
...
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:5-8
Always best to take questions and concerns to The Lord right off the bat.

ReplyDeleteThanks, you too, Diana!
DeleteWe are going through this right now with our church. Is the Bible the inspired word of God or stories with good meaning. It is breaking my church in two. I don't feel you can switch what God says to serve your needs.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear that, Chatty.
DeleteWe seek because this is not our true home, even though it may feel like it.
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteBeautiful! Thank you Sandi :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Denise.
DeleteWe sometimes have to be patient while God works out the answer to our need. He will direct us in the way we should go.
ReplyDeleteHe will lead us.
DeleteDear Sandi, thank you for always giving us words to ponder and embrace. The longer I live the more I realize that in reading anything, much less the Hebrew and Christian Testaments, we bring to the words our own experiences and sometimes we interpret the words to fit our own bias or need or lack or whatever motivates us.
ReplyDeleteI truly think that reading a book by a biblical scholar--Jewish, Catholic, Protestant--really will help us all understand what Jesus was saying in his time and what he meant and what that means today--Jesus and Jeremiah, and Hosea, and Isaiah and all the prophets and the psalmists. Peace from Dee Ready (cominghometomyself.blogspot.com)
Thank you, Dee. I think the Gospel is simple enough for everyone to understand. Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah of the Jews and the Gentiles. He loves you.
DeleteDear Sandi, that may be true, but the individual interpretation readers/believers bring to that is often colored by their own needs and bias. Peace. Dee Ready
DeleteSent you an email! 😊

ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteSandi: It is amazing how many people do not now he words of our Lord, if only they read one page a day of scripture what an amazing difference this world would be.
ReplyDeleteI think so too.
DeleteEnjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteThanks. You too.
DeleteHi Sandi, totally agree with you regarding this:-
ReplyDelete' For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:5-8'

DeleteDear Sandi!
DeleteDear Sandi!
