Isaiah 63:9
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old.

Readers, Catalin is responding to a question on her blog here.
DeleteA few hundred years ago, a church was set up on a hill, forbidden to women. Then, another church was built in the valley, open to women, where the priests of the hill church served. The metropolitan said that the old law must be respected and forbade the priests from the hill to serve at the church in the valley, cursing the place.
ReplyDeleteOoh. Strange.

Delete1 Thessalonians 4:16
ReplyDeleteFor the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. - I truly believe the sound of shofar is the trumpet mentioned in this scripture.
