“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,
‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”
Matthew 11:19
Do you know any tax collectors and sinners? There's a party.
Sadly, we are all sinners or friends of sinners. May God forgive us!
ReplyDeleteI’m glad He came for tax collectors and sinners. I fit right in!
ReplyDeleteSure do, including me!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I know a lot of sinners. I'm a tax paying sinner saved by grace. The great news is that God forgives because of what Jesus did for us! Happy weekend to you.
ReplyDeleteA good lesson there!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot to leave my name. Linda Tucker
ReplyDeleteHi, Linda! Welcome to my blog.
DeleteI come to the party, too!
ReplyDeleteAh Sandi - I am a sinner but a redeemed one - thanking the Lord for His mercies that are new every morning. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis verse can be interpreted in a broad sense and applied to anyone who is trying to do good and be wise. It implies that true wisdom is demonstrated through actions, not just through words or appearance. It encourages us to look beyond the surface and evaluate people based on their actions, rather than their outward appearance.
ReplyDeleteI may not be a "tax collector", but I am a sinner, saved by grace! The party is for all of us who have been invited by Jesus. What a grand party that will be!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a sinner and saved by Jesus!
ReplyDeleteHi Sandi, all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Without Jesus in our lives we could not learn God's ways and have His thoughts. God bless.
ReplyDeleteWe need reflection for improvement on the road of wisdom.
ReplyDeleteAmen.
