I am doing a thing! Look here.
1. What do you believe the purpose of life is?
I think we are here to learn something. And choose something.
2. How do you handle stress ? What do you recommend to others who are stressed out?
The right answer is to cast our cares on the Lord for He cares for us. The wrong answer is worry, sleeplessness, and fear. How do we cast our cares? I am still learning that part, but here is a good start:
Phillipians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Prayer and thankfulness and giving it to God really, truly works. Try it.
3. What enjoyable things do you wish you could do more often? How would it improve your life?
I like to walk on the beach. I think it is best not to do it too much, though. It is always special when I go. The nearest beach is about two hours from here.
4. Do you believe in God? Why or why not?
Yes.
"In this galaxy, there is a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that and perhaps more, only one of each of us." -Dr. Leonard McCoy
There is only one you. Why?
... those flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWell done for joining in 'What do you think'
All the best Jan
Thanks, Jan!
DeleteOh, "There is only one you. Why?" Wow! How profound! Sounds like something Mr. Rogers would say! LOL. I love it. Certainly something to think about! God made each one of us uniquely wonderful and gave us each a purpose and gifts by which we should serve and glorify Him. Everyone is different, but yet we all came from the same place...the heart and mind of God! We were in His mind before the world was formed!!! Amazing, isn't it??? Thank you for joining in with this today. Great answers!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela! It is amazing.
DeleteSandi: Your answers are excellent. Peace and blessings to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteThank you, quiet. God bless you.
DeleteLife is to be lived and enjoyed not endured, I don't handle stress well but my life is good and I do believe in God, why I can't say I just do and two of me would be weird.
ReplyDeleteYes, very weird. Ha ha!!
DeleteAll great answers!! I agree!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karen!
DeleteGreat answers!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ginny!
DeleteI have come to the point that I believe my purpose in life is to share with others the awesome blessing my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has done for me, along with all the other blessings He has, and still does for me today!
ReplyDeleteAs for handling stress, I agree with you 100%!
Not only do I go to God's Word when I feel stressed, but I talk with Him as well, besides lifting my concerns up to Him in prayer.
My wife and I used to enjoy fishing almost every day, but now those lakes that are close by have become polluted, so now we no longer fish in those lakes seeing we cannot eat the fish.
Now we just walk a lot, which we do enjoy, and believe it is healthy for us, not only that, but we enjoy walking in the outdoors.
Another thing I really enjoy, is just sitting quietly with the Lord, listening to some light jazz, or just seeing what will come to me as to what to write or what God will tell me to write, seeing I love to write.
The other thing I truly enjoy, is photography.
My wife and I definitely believe in God!
He is there for us and with us every day!
God created us, and we are all unique!
God Bless, you, my friend!
God bless you and your wife too, Lon! Thank you for your wonderful comment.

DeleteDear Sandi! Thank you for your comment (about monuments) in my blog! I believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayers help me to avoid stress. I also love to read, embroider, take care of my pets. My 5 cats help me to struggle with stress.

DeleteAll good questions. For me, the purpose of life is to do good, live kindly, be part of the solution and not the problem. As for stress -- I paint!

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8
I loved all of your answers, although I will admit when there is a challenge with heavy things in life it can be hard in the deep valley to cast those cares upon the Lord, but I do constantly remember that scripture and try to rest in that. What a relief that is! I would love to go to New Orleans at the Mississippi river on a fine afternoon/evening, many people think of bad things but there is some very old vintage feel there too. Of course my dad attended military school right up the river and my Italian grandma's family settled there for a while too so I guess it's in my blood.
ReplyDeleteAll in all, what would we do without the Lord? We can trust in Him.
In life I would like to make that mark in others' lives where they will know the Holy Spirit was there to cheer and encourage and even cry with.
Blessings Sandi!
Blessings to you to, Amelia!
DeleteYou know what's funny? Ok, not too long ago I read something about New Orleans and it gave me a heaviness in my heart. Your comment lifted...healed...that. Interesting! God is moving even when we are just feeling heavy and not even thinking it can be lifted.
i loved this dear Sandi .eah answer is fulfilling !

I enjoyed reading your answers.
ReplyDeleteGreat answers and I agree with Phillipians 4:6-7
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I do believe in God. Without Him ,I would be a hopeless mess. One way that can destress is to take my camera out and observe the beauty of nature.
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't get numerous comments from me. Whenever I tried to publish I would get an error notice and I know on some blogs, my comments have gotten through anyway. I liked reading your answers, especially answer #3. It's good to enjoy things in moderation so they don't become so common. Enjoy the rest of your week!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Only this one comment came through.

ReplyDeleteWonderful post, I love your answers.
ReplyDeleteI believe in God, and I agree with you that we should involve Him in our worries by praying to Him and talking to Him. It helps. We are God's creations in this world and we should respect that.
ReplyDeleteGood questions and great answers.
