Look Up

And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.

Luke 21:25-28

Does this sound like now? Maybe the world has always been like this. (Has it?) The Son of Man here refers to Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Mashiach in Hebrew. These scriptures are about His return. You've probably heard about this for years and maybe have grown tired of hearing it because time marches on, but one day, maybe soon, maybe not, it will happen.

  1. I believe we could be close to the Lord's second coming, but even if we are not that close this scripture is a powerful Word to help all who are in Christ remain in Him, for the scriptures state that in the end times many shall fall away from the faith.

    1. Any day could be someone's last day on Earth. So even if His coming is far off, we are not promised tomorrow.

  2. My husband and I were talking about this yesterday, He will come in a glimpse of the eye, but His children don't need to be afraid.

    1. God's ways are not our ways. His timing is not our timing.

  4. I am afraid that we are close to the second coming. Those words are very actual.

  5. I agree that it won't be long. Yes, there have been many signs in the past, but none that have affected all the world like the things that are going on today. No one knows the day or the hour except the Father who is in heaven, but if He said it, it is true and will happen. I think it is exciting to think that we could be the generation that sees His return.

Thanks for the porch paint info! I am going to paint it battleship gray like the old-fashioned porches. 😀

  6. The earth is being shaken, people have forgotten that God is in charge and He will not be mocked without consequences. The end times is here and God's time is not our time. He will come when we least expect it. Believe, repent repent and be not afraid. God is Love and Mercy.

  7. Since I can remember, people have been saying they are in the last days. But in fact Jesus says that no one will know when, so it would catch us off guard I am thinking.

  9. It is so amazingly true, the non believers will have a very scary awaking, I find many people do not believe in God or in any kind of religion.
Many people are trying to guess when the last day will be, only God knows, I laugh at some of my friends that said the world was going to end in 2012, we are still here.

    Thank-you for another beautiful post.

  14. Hi Sandi,
2 Corinthians 4:8-9: "We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."
John 16:33: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
Re Luke 21:25-28, if you are a believer, you are covered … as they say, these days … no worries.
    John

  16. Jesus said no one knows the time when this will happen. Not even Him. Only God.

Remember when they said the world would end in 2012? I knew then it would not happen. It was the year of the London Olympics and there was no way we would allow the end of the world after spending so much organising the Games.

    Keep smiling. God bless.
