Thank you for asking, Sandi. Yes, in July of 2011, I fell from a two-step step stool in my kitchen and broke my left femur and my right wrist. Our pastor at the time had been doing a study on Proverbs 3:5-6 and the second my body hit the kitchen floor, my first thought was those two verses. They continued to help me through recovery from surgery with a week in the hospital and then two weeks in a rehab facility. Putting my trust in HIM and knowing He had a purpose gave me strength that was not my own. He enabled me through that experience to share the gospel with workers there in the facility where I was when they would ask me questions as to how I was able to endure. Leaning to my own understanding would have made me bitter, but trusting in Him made all the difference. He certainly directed my path through it all.
Amen!
