Tax Collectors & Sinners

“The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say,

‘Look at him! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of  tax collectors and sinners!’

Yet wisdom is justified by her deeds.”

Matthew 11:19

Do you know any tax collectors and sinners? There's a party.

  1. Sadly, we are all sinners or friends of sinners. May God forgive us!

  3. Haha, I know a lot of sinners. I'm a tax paying sinner saved by grace. The great news is that God forgives because of what Jesus did for us! Happy weekend to you.

  6. This verse can be interpreted in a broad sense and applied to anyone who is trying to do good and be wise. It implies that true wisdom is demonstrated through actions, not just through words or appearance. It encourages us to look beyond the surface and evaluate people based on their actions, rather than their outward appearance.

  7. I may not be a "tax collector", but I am a sinner, saved by grace! The party is for all of us who have been invited by Jesus. What a grand party that will be!!!

  8. Hi Sandi, all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Without Jesus in our lives we could not learn God's ways and have His thoughts. God bless.
