Blade

May He pick up your anger and run with it, throwing it far away, past Mars, past the stars and, when you realize it's gone, pick up love instead. Not that kind of love that is about you or what you see or what you get, but the kind that picks up a blade and hacks away at someone else's anger, pulls it free, and runs off with it, throwing it into the sky.

  5. This is wonderful, it has given me chill bumps. I have never read anything like it. Where did you come by it? Did you write it? I am copying it. You post the BEST things. I was tickled by your comment today. I had assumed the fence meant to believe in Jesus. But of course, it could be anything!! Or just a craft project.

  6. I think there are times when anger is beneficial, such as when a leader of a country lies as a matter of course. Anger in such a case may lead us to take actions to force such a leader to resign his position..

But anger can, and often is, debilitating because it sops up resources within us which we need to help us cope with all the problems we face in our lives and in the world. We're better off in those situations to let it go, to move on, for by so doing we free ourselves to seek new and better resources for living a full and happy life.

  8. Great words.
    Proverbs 15:1
Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.

  10. Oh, may God diffuse the anger in this world before it erupts into something that cannot be thrown away into the sky...but I must remember that God is in control of this world and our universe...and He is able to do exactly what is needful. Praise God! I need not fear what others' anger may do to me. God is in control. Amen.

  13. Hi Sandi. The Olympics are in South Korea. Both North and South marched unified in the parade of athletes.

  16. Hi Sandi! I just smiled as I read your words. I can so relate to picking something up and HURLING it FAR!! Lol! And anger is the perfect emotion to do that too. The Lord will bless his people with peace...but that's hard to do if I'm holding on to anger that blocks that peace.
    God bless your Sunday,
    Ceil

  17. Very freeing words! You have a way with releasing emotions and as a reader it is really powerful, there is a sense of something really freeing as the anger was hurled off and thrown into the sky. A good image, I can see using in a prayer to make for when we want to pray a release of anger in a situation etc!! Good stuff!! ♡
